Mica Palmer
I build the operational systems companies actually run on.
ERP cleanups, marketplace integrations, and the AI tooling that sits on top. Fixed scope, documented, handed over so your team can run it.

In detail
ERP and inventory
Katana and systems like it: standing one up, or cleaning up one nobody trusts any more. I fix COGS per SKU, rebuild month-end close so the numbers tie, and find where inventory and the books stopped agreeing.
Integrations and automation
Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, eBay, ShipStation, QuickBooks. Getting them talking to the ERP instead of to a spreadsheet. I build the syncs in Make or straight against the APIs, plus a watchdog that emails you when one breaks.
Reconciliation and cleanup
When the system says one thing and the warehouse says another, I work out which is wrong. Variance investigations, backdated corrections that land in the month they belong to, and a memo explaining what happened.
AI setup and custom tooling
Setting up Claude so a team has the context to get real work out of it: org instructions, connectors to your file store and the systems you already run, and custom plugins built to your spec. Written SOPs with screenshots, so people still use it after I hand it over.
Retail and marketplace readiness
Big-box launch prep and marketplace catalog work. EDI through SPS Commerce, order routing and invoicing, GS1 and FNSKU setup, and product compliance registration handled before a buyer asks for it.
Web and accessibility
Next.js sites with Stripe checkout, and ADA audits that come back with the fixes already applied instead of a list of them.
How it works
I work async. You get working systems and step-by-step written documentation, with scope and price agreed before anything starts.
What they said
One of the sharpest operators I've worked with. Extremely skilled at building and connecting systems, establishing and documenting SOPs. She asks great questions. She thinks critically. And she cares deeply about doing things the right way.
Her strength in operational systems and automations is exceptional. She doesn't just create processes, she builds scalable solutions that make businesses run better.
I always had full trust in Mica's ability to handle any task or project that she led.
Mica was awesome to work with. Super clear communication, went above and beyond, and got it done way faster than I expected.
Before this
Close to a decade in operations before going independent. The longest stretch was four years at a grief and post-traumatic growth nonprofit, as Director of Operations and then Director of Growth: Salesforce, finance and payroll, HR, and the reporting the board read.
After that, a consumer products brand as employee number two, ending as VP of Strategy and Business Operations. Same work, physical goods: Amazon in two countries while the brand grew from $2.3M to $4.6M, a big-box launch into roughly 1,700 doors, and the ERP and month-end close underneath both.
